With the help of reflective journal, one can evaluate the areas that need to be improved in the study. In the other hand, reflective journals help to identify strong area that can be explored and applied in real life. Moreover, it can teach students and open scopes to formulate new opinions as well as perspectives and provide them a risk free value for exploring, thinking as well as practicing skills learned in the class. On the other hand, online booking apps helps organisations to be availed always. These systems help to increase business profit and create a great impact on overall revenue of the organization. In addition, it promotes to promote cashless economy for the country. Advantages of the use of electronic devices in catering industry Point-of-sale system helps merchants to take the transactions and make simplification of key day-to-day operations in business. On the other hand, customers can book order with the online booking apps from their Smartphone (Penazzi et al. 2017). This study allows me to understand the procedure of transaction and use of information technology in catering industry. In addition, as the system is cloud-based, there are no issues regarding storage of the documents and information of the organization. POS system also integrates the entire system seamlessly that assists the organization to continue integrating in a chain of organizations. Limitations of electronics devices in catering industry Even though there are several advantages of using electronic devices in catering industry, there are some limitations as well that I have studied through reviewing literatures. Advent growth of electronic devices may bring loss in jobs in the catering industry. On the other hand, organizations need to hire IT professional or skilled person to operate the systems or develop applications that can attract customers to use them (Huang et al. 2017). It costs high for the organization. Moreover, online booking applications can bring security issues as confidential information are associated with it such as credit or debit card information. Scopes for using electronic devices in catering industry Analyzing benefits and limitations of using electronic devices in Chinese catering industry, I have found some future scopes and possibilities for using the technology. As constant growth of science and information technology allows us to make life easier with the help of internet, it becomes necessary to avail most of the service digitally. On the other hand, being cloud based service; there would be less paper usage that reduces costs for it. In addition, data will be secured for storing in cloud. In addition, POS system can track sales as well as sync them when online if internet goes down. Use of social media platform in catering industry The present age deals with the growth of internet and social media. It is used for several purposes (Feixiang et al. 2016). Catering industry is also not out of them. Social media platform such as Facebook and Twitter become popular source for reviewing the service of the organization. It helps the organization to understand customers demands and take necessary steps to fulfil the demands. On the other hand, reviewing service can guide other customers to avail the service. In addition, there is a plan to introduce booking service through Facebook and Twitter (Zhang et al. 2016). Thus, social media platforms open up a great opportunity for the catering industry to increase their business. Development of research methodology to analyze the impact of electronic devices on catering industry It is important to select suitable and appropriate methodological tools in order to carry forward a research in proper way. In the present study, I have selected right tools that enable to understand the type of research that I am going to conduct. In addition, research outline provides me an overall approach for the methods selected for the research. Thus, exploring the outline and overall understanding of research methodology helps me for understanding the way through which the research is going to be conducted. Development of research design for the study In a research method, research design acts an important role. It can provide proper structural purpose of the research. Analyzing the types of research designs, I have found that descriptive research design is appropriate and suitable for the research. As the research design deals with clarifying the topic of the research and form hypothesis as well as comprehends the cause and effect of the research issues, the descriptive design is suitable for the research that I have chosen for the research. On the other hand, selection of descriptive research design would be useful to analyze the impact of electronic devices use in catering services. Selection of appropriate research philosophy for the research In order to conduct a research in effective way, it is important to select proper research philosophy. Positivism, realism and interpritivism are three types of research philosophy that are usually used in a research (Riedl et al. 2014). The research would concern with quantifiable observations and there will be statistical analysis for understanding the impact of electronic devices such as POS system and online booking applications on Chinese catering industry (Ganzaroli et al. 2017). Thus, understanding of proper research philosophy helps me to better comprehension of overall research methodology in a research. Analyzing research approach for the topic Sherri (2015) commented that research approach plays a crucial role in a research that allows identifying the type of the research. There are two types of research such as inductive research approach and deductive research approach. Deductive research approach assists to develop hypothesis and test by developing research strategy. In addition, it is suitable to test previous theories and concepts for which I have selected deductive research approach for the research. Use of ethical considerations in a research Understanding of ethical considerations is essential for conduction of a research (Smith 2015). There are several ethical considerations that are required to follow in a research. I have gained knowledge regarding confidentiality of information of the participants in survey that is required to keep properly without being leaked. Thus, understanding of UAE Federal Law of 1987 would help me to restrict publication of personal information of an individual. Timeline planning for a research Time planning for a research would assist me to complete the research within the allocated time (Taylor et al. 2015). There would be 24 weeks required for completion of the research. In each week, I have divided my work that I would go to conduct. Thus, proper time planning would help me to conduct the research in systematic way. In addition, it gives me ability to organize and plan the time spent on each of the activities. It would help me to increase effectiveness as well as productivity. Conclusion From the above discussion, it can be concluded that this reflective journal helps me to develop critical-thinking skills as well as expand, analyze and defend ideas regarding the topic. It assists me to identify the questions as well as issues as it reflects what I already know and what requires for increasing effectiveness regarding the study. In addition, the process of increasing the understanding can be understood through the reflective journal. Reflective practice is supported of creating opportunities that allow understanding the writing skill in an open-ended format.
