The constructive sides incorporate that entrance to information and people’s consciousness of the issues while the antagonistic elements identify with the expense and hazard in the sum and reasonableness of utilization (Kim, 2010). The manner in which clients access data has gotten one of the key focuses in the cutting edge world. The base guarantee of NBN is that the speed of access will be colossal, giving the populace one of the m ost trend setting innovations. Additionally, there are plans to give access to an extraordinary number of individuals that will incorporate however much of the populace as could reasonably be expected (Shilling, 2004). Enhancing Leadership Quality

Question: What is your meaning of administration now? What have you found out about administration through this subject is good for you as well as your association? What suggestions do your investigations of initiative have for you later on? What more do you have to learn or do? By what means will you build up your own authority information and abilities? Answer: My prior view about administration was that it is a nature of an individual who practices his clout on the specific association. In any case, presently my meaning of authority has changed and it has obtained another measurement after the exercises learned on administration all through my semester addresses. Presently I would characterize administration as the way toward affecting the capacity of a composed gathering for the achievement of objectives and destinations of the association. I took in this new definition during my talks and I became more acquainted with that authority is the capacity to ingrain certainty among individuals and move them to accomplish a lot of vision and objectives. It is the association among pioneers and devotees during various circumstances. An equal relationship exists between specific organizations, pioneers, social qualities and interpretive aptitudes of pioneers. The pioneer is the individual effectively associated with the prosperity of the business. They ought not have a dictator mentality simply attempting to power and order workers into specific exercises; rather they ought to emphatically impact them so that not they don't feel themselves to be useless (Goetsch Davis, 2014). After my seminar on initiative, I got numerous points of view of administration. I feel that this exercises will incredibly gainful for the association where I will work and for me as well. It is a procedure however not the individual or position that makes an authority connection. It is a sort of social connection between bunches in light of differing circumstances. From the week one exercises, I discovered that initiative conduct is subject to a few components. I got the possibility that capability of a pioneer was comprehended by authenticity. It is a force dynamic where understanding depends on an impression of workers and association. Besides, the result of any task is subject to the expectation of the pioneer. I understood that it was basic to have the association among occasions and initiative exercises. The result is driven by the reaction of the head (Schoemaker et al., 2013). A pioneer is the most mindful individual from a business substance who is required to step up first in quite a while. There is a ton of desire from pioneers and individuals anticipate that them should convey great execution dependent on their free judgment and attentiveness. I additionally discovered that pioneers ought to have virtues as well. Numerous choices are taken by them considering virtues of society which is outside the standards and rules of the business firm. So I discovered that ethical measurement in authority was essential as well. A great deal of things are subject to pioneers conduct moreover. They ought to have a character and character to rouse and impact others through an adjustment in recognitions (Bartenschlag, 2013). In one of my talk I found out about various aptitudes controlled by incredible pioneers. Seeing the case of extraordinary pioneers in the past like Alexander the Great, Napoleon, and so forth., my speaker gave us thought regarding real attributes of a pioneer. The general attributes related with a pioneer are genuineness, self-assurance, intellectual aptitudes, accomplishment, desire, persistence, vitality and inspiration. All these joined components drive the association forward to accomplish top position (Northouse, 2014). I additionally became acquainted with that initiative is of three kinds social, non-various leveled and situational. In non-progressive authority, the association has pioneers at all levels not exactly at the top situation of Company. I came to realize that connection administration lays more weight on a social relationship which needs a great deal of endeavors. Situational pioneers deal with taking care of circumstances and they take hard decisions and adjust to those changes. A pioneer needs to get included thus they should have participative nature. They set exclusive expectation testing objectives for the improvement of association and personal development. I likewise came to think about pioneer part Exchange hypothesis. As indicated by this hypothesis, perspectives and contemplations are traded among pioneer and worker identified with low quality information like satisfying legally binding relationship and top notch inclusion like tutoring, strengthening through execution and sponsorship (Hackman Johnson, 2013). The seminar on administration likewise gave me significant data on the chronicled viewpoint of authority. I understood that administration is definitely not another idea it appeared from days of yore. There is stating that a few people are destined to be pioneers'. One appropriate case of this expression was Napoleon, who changed the history with his authority abilities. It is known as saint lord hypothesis and as indicated by it, the ablest pioneer is one who is reasonable, noblest man and has incomparable characteristics to lead. I came to think about the rationalist ruler, Platos see on authority. He felt that pioneer is the most significant piece of good government who has abilities to lead with request and reason. They utilized their insight and shrewdness the correct way (Ciulla, 2013). As per Bass, with the development of civilisation, administration is affected by folklore, religion, culture, different writing, media, training, sharp perception and good examples in the genera l public. So Bass summed up authority as the impact of character, conduct and exercise of impact. As indicated by him, it is a separated situation with the mix of helpful components and the craft of inciting consistence (Van Wart, 2014). The investigation on administration upgraded my insight about the subject and it will help me a great deal in my future undertakings and progress in profession. Presently in the event that I get the chance to turn into a pioneer of any Company, at that point I am certain that I will play out my duty proficiently. I feel so in light of the fact that the seminar on administration helped me gain proficiency with all the subtlety of the subject and what individuals anticipates from pioneers (Piccolo Buengeler, 2013). All the talks will have moral ramifications for my future. Initiative is pretty much identified with the board. In one of my exercises, I found out about Fayol's perspective on the board. It had four component arranging, sorting out, coordinating and controlling (Shafritz et al., 2015).When I arrive at this position, I will attempt to accommodate my exercises as per all these four components. I figure I will likewise profit a great deal from geese exercises. It was a captiva ting to perceive how my talk thought about the distinctive flying style of geese to clarify us administration abilities. For instance, when the group of geese fly in V arrangement; it gives the entire rush intensity of 71% more prominent flying extent than a feathered creature flying alone. The exercise from this was when bunch individuals have regular bearing and feeling of solidarity, such association will push forward rapidly everybody is proceeding onward the push of another part. Such initiative character is essential for driving a group. Along these lines, all in all, the exercises made me mindful of administration esteems, code of morals and difficulties looked in the activity. It will assist me with shaping the estimation of the association (Lautier, 2014). I can build up my insight and aptitude by bringing into down to earth applications every one of my exercises. I will watch that I don't miss utilize my capacity and power task on individuals. In the event that there is an agreeable connection between my partners, at that point no one but we can push our association to another set goal (McCauley McCall, 2014).During working in various circumstances, I will initially attempt to dissect the entire issue and discover the difficulties we can look for specific advances. On the off chance that we know about the future difficulties we can get readied to make a guarded arrangement which can ensure us. In any case, in the weight of duty, I will make sure that I don't disregard the social estimations of the general public. In spite of the fact that adhering to the standards and convention of organization is significant yet at the same time understanding social and ethics esteems are fundamental as well. I got to what sort of conduct is correct or wrong for the Company thus I will attempt my best to consent to a moral set of principles (Shapiro Stefkovich, 2016). I will attempt to take each choice inside the limits of systematized laws and assent of the entire group. Prior to making any stride, I will address myself whether the activity is legitimate and reasonable for all individuals included. It will assist me with feeling good if every other person concurs with my choice easily (Smith et al., 2012). Overall, it tends to be finished up from the investigation that it is an incredible guide for people needing to sharpen their initiative aptitudes or for the individuals who need to think about abilities of administration. In view of my exercises on initiative, I took in a great deal about the abilities required to do authority duty effectively. I came to think about sorts of authority and their style of working. I got all around familiar with various speculations regarding the matter and the administration component of Foyal. The exercise on an authentic viewpoint of administration was likewise interesting. I gained from instances of model characters in history who were destined to pioneers and had extraordinary intrinsic administration characteristics. The exercises on geese flying style to clarify administration esteems were likewise an entrancing thing to learn. I am happy with the helpful data and would like to utilize this information while practicing my duty in this situation later on. One intriguing statement by Bass will sum up duty of pioneer which says Leadership is lifting of a keeps an eye on vision to higher sights, raising execution to better expectations and building keeps an eye on character past its ordinary confinements. Dark Romanticism in Historical Fiction Novel The Scarlet Letter - Free Essay Example

Romanticism is an artistic movement that started toward the end of the 18th century and peaked in the first half of the 19th century. Romantic writers and artists glorified the past and nature. They lifted up heroes whose examples would raise the quality of other people around them. Such celebration of well-being, happiness, and a greatness beyond measure produced an opposite reaction in other writers. This movement became known as Dark Romanticism because stories focused on personal failing, crime, insanity, torment, melancholy, ostracism, and whether mankind could be salvaged. The best examples of Dark Romantic writers in America are Edgar Allen Poe and Nathaniel Hawthorne. While other writers of their time believed in the goodness of people and nature and that people are best when independent of society, Poe and Hawthorne used sin, alienation, and guilt to demonstrate humanitys broken nature and tendency toward self-destruction. Hawthornes The Scarlet Letter is a historical fiction novel. It tells the story of Hester Prynne, a woman condemned by the Puritan religious community. Hester was sent to the New World by her husband. He planned to join her later, but instead was captured by Indians and assumed to be dead. Hester was alone and worked as a seamstress. She turned to a local pastor, Arthur Dimmesdale, for comfort. Eventually Hester and Arthur committed adultery, and she became pregnant. Hawthorne used the judgment and sentence of the Puritans as the name of this novel. Hester was also forced to stand on the scaffold for three hours to publically shame her for the sin. Despite this humiliation, Hester refused to reveal the name of the babys father. The scarlet letter A that was embroidered on her clothing was a visual and colorful reminder that Hester was a sinner in a black and white world. Hester believed the letter was too deeply branded to remove (64; ch.3). Hester in time overcame the sin and was th e heroine of the story. Hawthorne used the symbolism of the scarlet letter and the sin it publicized to eventually become a judgment on the hypocrisy of the religious community. Edgar Allen Poe also used sin as the cause of his terrible short story, The Black Cat. It is the tale of a condemned man. He and his wife had a beautiful black cat named Pluto. The cat and the man had a friendly relationship for many years until alcoholism destroyed the mans personality. The alcohol made him angry at the world and violent. One night he came home drunk and tried to grab the cat. Pluto bit him, and in a rage the man pulled out a knife and cut out the cats eye. From then on, Pluto scrambled away at the sight of his master. At first the man was shamed by his behavior, but this feeling soon gave place to irritation. And then came, as if to my final and irrevocable overthrow, the spirit of perverseness. In another fit of rage, the man took Pluto outside and killed him by hanging. That night, his house burned down. Only one wall survived, and the man found a cat with a rope around the neck imprinted there. The man felt guilty and was at first happy when he found another cat similar to Pluto for his new house. It was the same size, color, and even missed an eye. The only difference was a white patch that in time reminded the man of the gallows. This terrified the man and he avoided the cat. One day in another drunken rage, he tried to kill this cat but his wife intervened. The cat was saved, but the man killed his wife with an axe. He hid his wifes body inside a basement wall and sealed it up. When the police investigated, the man remarked how solid the wall was and tapped on it. There was a loud wailing from inside. The police knocked down the wall and found the wifes body, and on her head was the screeching black cat. The man broke down at the sight of his crime and the cat as he wailed I had walled the monster up within the tomb! Poe used the sin of alcoholism as the basis for his story. The man struggled with morality. Even though he realized he was behaving sinfully, he could not change his behavior. The black cats became visible symbols of his si n and pushed him further toward madness. Both Poe and Hawthorne used sin and human frailty as the basis of these stories. However, Hawthorne believed that mankind could overcome sin, while Poe believed that sin inside all men is an irresistible death sentence. Alienation is another common theme used by Hawthorne and Poe. In The Scarlet Letter, Hester was alienated from the rest of society. Everyone knew that she was different because she was forced to wear a scarlet letter at all times. Measured by the prisoners experience, however, it might reckoned a journey of some length; for, haughty as her demeanor was, she perchance underwent an agony from every footstep of those that thronged to see her, as if her heart had been flung in the street for them all to spurn and trample upon (The Scarlet Letter ch.2). The letter convicted her and alienated Hester from the entire community. While it reminded all of what she had done, it was really a warning to behave as they were told and a threat that anyone could be alienated just like Hester. Poe wrote his poem Alone after the death of his foster mother, the woman that had raised the young boy after his parents died. The poem is written from the perspective of a young man, and it demonstrated Poes ali enation from other people that he experienced from a very early age. In Alone, Poe stated his longstanding isolation with the line From childhoods hour I have not been As others were; I have not seen As others saw (Alone lines 1-3). Hawthorne used alienation as something that was imposed upon Hester by the community. Poe used alienation as something that came from inside because of his differences with other people. Finally, both authors used the theme of guilt which can push mankind toward destruction. Hawthorne used Arthur Dimmesdale to symbolize the burden of guilt. His sin was secret from the community since Hester did not reveal it, but Dimmesdale suffered even more than her because of his unbearable guilt. Because his guilt was not revealed, it took two avenues. The guilt gave him a sense of empathy for other sinners that was demonstrated through his eloquent sermons. Also, Dimmesdales health began to fail because he could not forgive himself for his failings and his cowardice in letting Hester face the punishment all alone. In this case, his guilty heart caused his physical deterioration. Poe also used guilt in The Tell-Tale Heart. In this short story, Poe told of a man that murdered an older neighbor because of his vulture-like eye. The man insists he is not crazy because of how precisely he planned the murder. The old mans body is hidden in pieces under the floor. When the police came t o investigate, the man brought chairs and the police sat right over the body. The man noticed a ringing in his ears that grew louder. Eventually he became convinced it was the sound of the dead mans heart beating under the floor. Believing the police could hear the heartbeat and knew he was a murderer, the man confessed his crime. Hawthornes Dimmesdale broke down physically because of his guilt. Poes narrator experienced guilt in a different way as it caused him to mentally descend into madness. Both Hawthorne and Poe used a guilty mind to cause a breakdown instead of the actual sins. Hawthorne and Poe used similar themes in their Dark Romantic styles. While some of the themes overlapped, the authors did not always use them in the same way. Hawthorne did not hide the fallen nature of humanity, but his writing showed that one could sometimes overcome that harsh reality to have some version of a success life. Poe was more of a pessimist and his writing demonstrated his understanding of human hopelessness. Other writers believed in the goodness of people and nature, but Poe and Hawthorne used sin, alienation, and guilt to show that man is more likely to self-destruct than succeed in life.

Personal Narrative Reflection Paper - 1234 Words

My second year of university was BUSY! In addition to taking a full course load, I also had jobs on campus and was volunteering. Plus, I had to fit in my workout regime, social time, ‘me’ time, and best of all, sleep. And I was able to do all of that, while maintaining my all-A transcript. When my friends ask me how I managed to pull that off, most of the time I would tell them the truth, which is â€Å"I really don’t know†. But there was a lot of careful consideration that went into basically my every action so that I could stay on top of all of my responsibilities. There’s one key thing that I did that made my success possible: PRIORITIZE. I know, it seems like a lame word that your parents use against you when they think†¦show more content†¦Essentially, my job was to be there for all of the first years, whether they needed advice, someone to talk/cry to, or someone to be a friend and go to the dining hall/library/gym with. Not a bad gig at all. But, this meant that the majority of the times that most would consider free time, I was basically ‘on-call’. We were supposed to have our doors open and phones on basically anytime we were in the building in case someone needed us. So, unless I had some school related crises (AKA the millions of times I left papers till the last minute), my time belonged to the first years. When I took the job, I knew that was the commitment I was making. And honestly, I loved the job. I loved it so much that I’m doing it again my third year, but as a full-blown RA this time. There was also only a few times that my top two priorities conflicted together, such as a frosh (first year) wanting to vent to someone, but I had a paper due in an hour. PRIORITY THREE: The next priority for me was my social life. This sort of mixed in with being a member of residence staff, as I was friends with a lot of my frosh, so I was able to kill two birds with one stone. But, making time for my boyfriend, my friends who didn’t live on my floor, and my friends who didn’t even go to my school was also very important to me. Definition and Examples of Interior Monologues

In both fiction and nonfiction, an interior monologue is the expression of a characters thoughts, feelings, and impressions in a narrative. An interior monologue may be either direct or indirect: direct, in which the author seems not to exist and the interior self of the character is given directly, as though the reader were overhearing an articulation of the stream of thought and feeling flowing through the characters mind;indirect, in which the author serves as selector, presenter, guide, and commentator. (W. Harmon and H. Holman, A Handbook to Literature, 2006) Interior Monologues in Fiction   I looked into the reception room. It was empty of everything but the smell of dust. I threw up another window, unlocked the communicating door and went into the room beyond. Three hard chairs and a swivel chair, flat desk with a glass top, five green filing cases, three of them full of nothing, a calendar and a framed license bond on the wall, a phone, a washbowl in a stained wood cupboard, a hatrack, a carpet that was just something on the floor, and two open windows with net curtains that puckered in and out like the lips of a toothless old man sleeping. The same stuff I had had last year, and the year before that. Not beautiful, not gay, but better than a tent on the beach.(Raymond Chandler, The High Window, 1942)How much better is silence; the coffee cup, the table. How much better to sit by myself like the solitary sea-bird that opens its wings on the stake. Let me sit here for ever with bare things, this coffee cup, this knife, this fork, things in themselves, myself being m yself. Do not come and worry me with your hints that it is time to shut the shop and be gone. I would willingly give all my money that you should not disturb me but let me sit on and on, silent, alone. (Virginia Woolf, The Waves, 1931) Interior Monologue in Tom Wolfe's Nonfiction [I]nterior monologue is appropriate with nonfiction, provided theres fact to back it up. We cant get into a characters head because we suppose, or imagine, or deduce thats what he or she would be thinking. We have to know!See how Tom Wolfe does it in his book about the space program, The Right Stuff. At the outset he explained that his style was developed to grab the readers attention, to absorb them. . . . He wanted to get into the heads of his characters, even if this was nonfiction. And so, at an astronauts press conference, he quotes a reporters question on who was confident about coming back from space. He describe the astronauts looking at one another and hoisting their hands in the air. Then, hes into their heads: It really made you feel like an idiot, raising your hand this way. If you didnt think you were coming back, then you would really have to be a fool or a nut to have volunteered at all. . . . He goes on for a full page, and in writing this way Wolfe has transcended usual nonfiction style; hes offered characterization and motivation, two fiction writing techniques that can bring the reader in lockstep with the writer. Interior monologue provides a chance to see inside the heads of characters, and we know that the more familiar a reader is with a character, the more the reader embraces that character. (William Noble, Writing Nonfiction—Using Fiction. The Portable Writers Conference, 2nd ed., ed. by Stephen Blake Mettee. Quill Driver, 2007) Stylistic Characteristics of Interior Monologue Sentence fragments may be treated as interior monologue (direct speech) or regarded as part of an adjoining stretch of free  indirect speech.Interior monologue may also contain traces of non-verbal thought. While more formal interior monologue uses the first-person pronoun and finite verbs in the present tense, He [Stephen] lifted his feet up from the suck [of the sand] and turned back by the mole of boulders. Take all, keep all. My soul walks with me, form of forms. [. . .] The flood is following me. I can watch it flow past from here. (Ulysses iii; Joyce 1993: 37; my emphasis) In Ulysses James Joyce conducts more radical experiments with the form of the interior monologue, especially in his representation of the thoughts of Leopold Bloom and his wife, Molly. He eschews full sentences with finite verbs in favour of incomplete, often verbless syntagms which simulate Blooms mental leaps as he associates ideas: Hymes jotting down something in his notebook. Ah, the names. But he knows them all. No: coming to me. —I am just taking the names, Hynes said below his breath. What is your christian name? Im not sure. In this example, Blooms impressions and speculations are confirmed by Hynes remarks. (Monika Fludernik, An Introduction to Narratology. Routledge, 2009) Stream of Consciousness and Interior Monologue Although stream of consciousness and interior monologue are often used interchangeably, the former is the more general term. Interior monologue, strictly defined, is a type of stream of consciousness. As such, it presents a characters thoughts, emotions, and fleeting sensations to the reader. Unlike stream of consciousness more generally, however, the ebb and flow of the psyche revealed by interior monologue typically exists at a pre- or sublinguistic level, where images and the connotations they evoke supplant the literal denotative meanings of words. Several methods and technologies have occurred over these years to help further the effectiveness of contraception. Contraceptives come in all shapes and sizes and each one has different qualities including, their strengths and weaknesses. The most commonly used contraceptive is a condom, which helps prevent pregnancies and the transmission of sexual diseases. The Epidemic Of The Obesity Epidemic Essay - 1488 Words

Introduction The World Health Organization (WHO) defines obesity as the excessive accumulation of fat that puts the person’s health at risk (Lenzi et al., 2015). The prevalence of obesity has increased worldwide over the past three decades. According to Holtz (2016), obese people have outnumbered the undernourished, with the World Health Organization estimating that 1.9 billion adults are overweight, out of which about 600 million are obese. Given the recent trends, it is estimated that 1.12 billion people will be obese by 2030 (Grossschà ¤dl, 2014). According to a report by the McKinsey Global Institute, 2014), the global impact of the obesity epidemic is estimated to be $20 trillion, or 2.8 percent of the global gross domestic product (GDP), which is on a par with the global impact from terrorism, armed violence, smoking, and warfare. Setting the Context Presently, the toll of the epidemic on healthcare systems alone is between 2 percent and seven percent of net healthcare spending in industrialized economies, excluding the huge costs associated with the treatment of heart disease and type 2 diabetes that account for up to twenty percent of healthcare costs (Bassuk Manson, 2008; Alosco et al., 2015). In addition to the costs to healthcare systems, obesity undermines the productivity of employees, thereby undercutting corporate competitiveness. Individual Reflective Journal of Business -Myassignmenthelp.Com

Question: Discuss about the Individual Reflective Journal of Business. Answer: Introduction It is important to write reflective journal that allow students reflecting on new knowledge that has been learned in the class. It solidifies learning experience through recording in the course, learning new materials and develops new conclusions. In the present course, I have obtained knowledge about the use of electronic devices and its use in catering industry. With the help of various sources such as books, journals and websites as well as the recommended sources that are provided, I have gained knowledge regarding the topic that enables me to review literature regarding the topic and arrange research methodology to carry forward the research in proper way. Reflective Journal Scope While having such potential benefits that can be applying the knowledge in the study, reflective journals help to make self-assessment regarding the study. With the help of reflective journal, one can evaluate the areas that need to be improved in the study. In the other hand, reflective journals help to identify strong area that can be explored and applied in real life. Moreover, it can teach students and open scopes to formulate new opinions as well as perspectives and provide them a risk free value for exploring, thinking as well as practicing skills learned in the class. Reflective analysis Overview of the use of electronic device and its applications in catering industry Lin and Hsu (2017) stated that with rapid development of science and technology, inventory software programs are now available in the market that helps to track usage, monitor changes in the costs of unit dollar and can calculate the requirement in order to reorder as well as analyze inventory levels based item-to-item. The system is known as Point-of-System. On the other hand, online booking apps help to book order in hustle free way. In addition, it becomes more convenient way that saves time for the customers and helps the organization to become available in 24*7 hours. Impact of electronic device usage on catering industry Several types of electronic devices as well as its application with the development of information technology enable the catering industry to become more popular and available for the customers in 24*7 hours (Boella 2017). Point-of-Sale system is one of the electronic devices, that is nothing but a main computerized network operated by main computer and linked to various checkout terminals. On the other hand, online booking apps helps organisations to be availed always. These systems help to increase business profit and create a great impact on overall revenue of the organization. In addition, it promotes to promote cashless economy for the country. Advantages of the use of electronic devices in catering industry Point-of-sale system helps merchants to take the transactions and make simplification of key day-to-day operations in business. On the other hand, customers can book order with the online booking apps from their Smartphone (Penazzi et al. 2017). This study allows me to understand the procedure of transaction and use of information technology in catering industry. In addition, as the system is cloud-based, there are no issues regarding storage of the documents and information of the organization. POS system also integrates the entire system seamlessly that assists the organization to continue integrating in a chain of organizations. Limitations of electronics devices in catering industry Even though there are several advantages of using electronic devices in catering industry, there are some limitations as well that I have studied through reviewing literatures. Advent growth of electronic devices may bring loss in jobs in the catering industry. On the other hand, organizations need to hire IT professional or skilled person to operate the systems or develop applications that can attract customers to use them (Huang et al. 2017). It costs high for the organization. Moreover, online booking applications can bring security issues as confidential information are associated with it such as credit or debit card information. Scopes for using electronic devices in catering industry Analyzing benefits and limitations of using electronic devices in Chinese catering industry, I have found some future scopes and possibilities for using the technology. As constant growth of science and information technology allows us to make life easier with the help of internet, it becomes necessary to avail most of the service digitally. On the other hand, being cloud based service; there would be less paper usage that reduces costs for it. In addition, data will be secured for storing in cloud. In addition, POS system can track sales as well as sync them when online if internet goes down. Use of social media platform in catering industry The present age deals with the growth of internet and social media. It is used for several purposes (Feixiang et al. 2016). Catering industry is also not out of them. Social media platform such as Facebook and Twitter become popular source for reviewing the service of the organization. It helps the organization to understand customers demands and take necessary steps to fulfil the demands. On the other hand, reviewing service can guide other customers to avail the service. In addition, there is a plan to introduce booking service through Facebook and Twitter (Zhang et al. 2016). Thus, social media platforms open up a great opportunity for the catering industry to increase their business. Development of research methodology to analyze the impact of electronic devices on catering industry It is important to select suitable and appropriate methodological tools in order to carry forward a research in proper way. In the present study, I have selected right tools that enable to understand the type of research that I am going to conduct. In addition, research outline provides me an overall approach for the methods selected for the research. Thus, exploring the outline and overall understanding of research methodology helps me for understanding the way through which the research is going to be conducted. Development of research design for the study In a research method, research design acts an important role. It can provide proper structural purpose of the research. Analyzing the types of research designs, I have found that descriptive research design is appropriate and suitable for the research. As the research design deals with clarifying the topic of the research and form hypothesis as well as comprehends the cause and effect of the research issues, the descriptive design is suitable for the research that I have chosen for the research. On the other hand, selection of descriptive research design would be useful to analyze the impact of electronic devices use in catering services. Selection of appropriate research philosophy for the research In order to conduct a research in effective way, it is important to select proper research philosophy. Positivism, realism and interpritivism are three types of research philosophy that are usually used in a research (Riedl et al. 2014). The research would concern with quantifiable observations and there will be statistical analysis for understanding the impact of electronic devices such as POS system and online booking applications on Chinese catering industry (Ganzaroli et al. 2017). Thus, understanding of proper research philosophy helps me to better comprehension of overall research methodology in a research. Analyzing research approach for the topic Sherri (2015) commented that research approach plays a crucial role in a research that allows identifying the type of the research. There are two types of research such as inductive research approach and deductive research approach. Deductive research approach assists to develop hypothesis and test by developing research strategy. In addition, it is suitable to test previous theories and concepts for which I have selected deductive research approach for the research. Use of ethical considerations in a research Understanding of ethical considerations is essential for conduction of a research (Smith 2015). There are several ethical considerations that are required to follow in a research. I have gained knowledge regarding confidentiality of information of the participants in survey that is required to keep properly without being leaked. Thus, understanding of UAE Federal Law of 1987 would help me to restrict publication of personal information of an individual. Timeline planning for a research Time planning for a research would assist me to complete the research within the allocated time (Taylor et al. 2015). There would be 24 weeks required for completion of the research. In each week, I have divided my work that I would go to conduct. Thus, proper time planning would help me to conduct the research in systematic way. In addition, it gives me ability to organize and plan the time spent on each of the activities. It would help me to increase effectiveness as well as productivity. Conclusion From the above discussion, it can be concluded that this reflective journal helps me to develop critical-thinking skills as well as expand, analyze and defend ideas regarding the topic. It assists me to identify the questions as well as issues as it reflects what I already know and what requires for increasing effectiveness regarding the study. In addition, the process of increasing the understanding can be understood through the reflective journal. Reflective practice is supported of creating opportunities that allow understanding the writing skill in an open-ended format. Thus, doing reflective journal on analyzing the impact of electronic devices on Chinese catering industry helps me to better understanding of the concepts, identifying the issues and recommend solutions for it. Question: Discuss about the Leadership in Businessfor Model of Intentional Change. Answer: Introduction This reflective report presents the leadership concept, leadership theories, and leadership models. It also presents the self-awareness techniques like GROW model and Boyatzis Model of Intentional Change. These tools are effective to analyze the individual personality. This report also discusses the recommendation for future development. In last, it presents the action plan for improving the weakness. Leadership journey I enhanced my skills of leadership from my last organization where I functioned as a leader. I observed that a team leader can influence the employees by using motivational techniques. It is illustrated that a team leader can improve the vision that is executed by each member of the team and mutually to have possession (Swanson, et al., 2016). From last organization, I also analyzed my weakness that can affect the quality of outcome. I worked on my short coming for getting reliable data. I also encouraged to my group member to perform the same. I increased my understandings towards the methods to inspire the employees through excitement. Since, once a leader is properly aware of their liabilities then they can properly guide the employees and obtain reliable outcome (Pruzan, et al., 2017). Leadership concept I created my awareness towards the concept of leadership concepts that will help to enhance my self-awareness. I learned that the leadership can be a power to control the group member towards the completion of a particular group. Moreover, I understood that a leadership can define as a process where one person can direct the employees towards accomplishing the organizational goal in less time and cost. In addition, a leader can be a person who has the ability to motivate towards their assigned work (Kim, et al., 2017).I also learned about the guidelines of leaders that can be effective to monitor the subordinates and inspired them to meet favorable outcome. A leader plays an imperative role to develop the collaboration between the team to complete the estimated target (Ward, 2016).A person can become an effective leader from the approval of team member and their personality characteristics. I also analyzed that a leader can be developed and born (Ang, et al., 2015). I analyzed that s ome authors examined that the leadership qualities can be genetical while other is explained that the leader qualities established by offering the training and development method. I also gained my knowledge towards the leadership which can be imperative to enhance my leadership style in the working place. As a result, I can obtain the feasible result. Further, I analyzed that knowledge towards leadership can help to enhance my personality systematically. Moreover, there are different types of factors like personality traits, formal authority, and knowledge and experience that are considered in the leadership. Leadership models and theories I gained my understanding towards the leadership models and theories. It can be effective in developing the transactional and transformational plan. I analyzed that both transactional and transformational leadership style is effective to build the reliable decision. From the understanding of leadership style, I will be able to apply the leadership style as per the situation. It can also be effective to obtain eh reliable outcome. I enhanced my weaknesses and strengths after the lecture. I analyzed that a leader can be accountable for many activities, therefore, they need to update themselves timely. I observed that the transformational leadership permit the leader to work with group member and determine the needed change by using motivational techniques. It can also support to build an effective relationship among leader and employees. I also learned that the transformational leadership can motivate the employee to perform beyond the expectation of leader. Beside this, a transactiona l leadership can enable the leader to use the reward and punishment structure in the working place (Northouse, 2015). It can positively influence the employees because a transactional leader can give the reward to the employees who perform better at the workplace, which can positively influence the workforce to perform their assign work systematically (Herrmann, et al., 2015). I also observed that this leadership style enable the leader to take an appropriate decision towards the employee performance. Through this leadership style, a leader critically analyzes the subordinate performance and punishes the employee who has not perform better in the working place (Rock, 2014).Moreover, I observed that a teacher can expect same to the scholars. In addition, the leadership style can be effective for improving my professional as well as personal life. I observed that the transformational and transaction leadership can be different from each other. In addition, the transformational leaders hip model can offer the different kinds of services to the subordinates like intellectual stimulation, inspirational motivation, and individualized consideration. I observed that I improved my leadership style as compared to the past data. I improved my communication skills through the lecture that was not effective. Through the effective communication skills, I can handle the conflict issues at the workplace and gain the performance in long-term (Strom, et al., 2014). I observed that the communication skills can be supportive to retain the employees at the working place. Further, effective communication can play an imperative in the conflict management that can directly influence the performance of the organization (Renko, et al., 2015). Self-Awareness Tool I gained my understanding regarding self-awareness techniques, which will be needed to analyze your personality. The GROW Model and Boyatzis Model is an effective technique of self-awareness (Herrmann, et al., 2014). From this model, I analyzed some different factors such as goal, reality, will, and options. It can critically analysis my personality and help to demonstrate my weakness that will improve my personality in the upcoming period (Delmatoff, et al., 2015). I observed that I was not able to independently make a goal and clear them on the front of subordinates that were major issues for me. From this model, I analyzed that, I was able to exit reality at the working place that can influence the performance of the organization. I observed that I was capable to explore the alternatives regarding the existing situation. It can support to eliminate the current issues systematically (Zhang, et al., 2015). From the discussion of my team member, I analyzed that, I have the capability to provide the appropriate suggestion towards the accomplishment of goal in an appropriate manner. Strengths and weaknesses for development As per this lecture, I gained my awareness towards my personality that can be supportive to improve my weakness in the upcoming period. Moreover, I analyzed that self-awareness can support to critically analysis our personality where I analyzed like, dislike, strength, and weakness. The self-awareness can also be supportive to identify the time under stress. Furthermore, the self-awareness motivates the employees and leader for gaining the understanding about each other and makes strong relationship with each other (Vermeeren, et al., 2014). Moreover, I also gained my competencies for attaining the specified goal. In addition, it is also evaluated that a leader can also focus on different factors such as technical, human, personal traits of an individual, business, and traits of individual due to obtaining the feasible result in less cost and time. Boyatzis Model Boyatzis Model can be implied by an individual to critically analysis our characteristics and understand the strength, weakness, effective relationship, ideal life, and real life. It can support to make an effective life (Grunes, et al., 2014). From this model, I critically analyzed my strengths such as dynamic listener and prompt decision making. I analyzed that, I have some weakness such as pronunciation issue and depth-oriented. Moreover, I learned that the fast decision making supports me to enhance the competitive benefit of the organization. Besides this, too- depth-oriented characteristics can be major issues for me because it can waste the time of employees and subordinates. Therefore, I needed to improve my weaknesses. As a result, an organization can be able to get a favorable result. Feedback and suggestion for future development I created my understanding about two kinds of leadership issues such as emotional intelligence and pronunciation problem that are investigated by using the self-awareness I learned about two kinds of leadership problems e.g. improve the emotional intelligence and pronunciation issues that are discovered from the self-awareness techniques. A Leadership skill can be improved by using the emotional intelligence and actual pronunciation. Suggestions for improving leadership style I increased my understanding about the different cultural ground, family, and religious for easily inspiring the others and also attain the specified objectives in the specified time and cost. Through the lecture, I learned that a group member should enhance their understanding towards the leadership style, communication methods, and method of presentation due to avoiding the misinterpretation problem form the team. Moreover, I also observed that best understanding towards the cultural factors because it can enable the team member to accomplish their task in less time and cost. I also analyzed that a leader of an organization can aid the team member without any biases and obtain a favorable result. I also analyzed that each group member has different characteristics that show their diverse leadership style. A leader can deal with diverse characteristics of people and get a favorable result (Popli, et al., 2015). Develop an action plan for future leadership journey Emotional Intelligence Conclusion On behalf of the above interpretation, it can be summarized that a leader should be aware of the leadership style due to inspiring a large number of employees at the workplace. It can also be concluded that the understanding towards the values can be vital for meeting the organization task. Finally, it can be illustrated that GROW and Boyatzis Model is effective self-awareness technique that can help to critically evaluate the personality of an individual.
